There seems to be a problem with the 5mm pivot ball in SP-1

The threads are not deep enough for 3x6mm flat head screws.

Either a 3x4mm flat head screw(dont know if its available?) or Tamiya 51485 5mm pivot ball will work

those balls is fine, just force the screws into it, not a problem, wont break anything. everyone I know just force the screw in.

This is a self-lock type pivot ball. If you use shorter screw, you have to add thread lock to prevent loose.
