Avante Restoration (plus Egress Restoration)

The car has been washed and polished, now begin to put all the parts together step by step.  Will post more photos in progress.

One of the tamiya legend..  good for you!!

My most love Tamiya Buggy, when it firstly introduced in 1988, I was just a F.2 student.  Has no money to buy this car, what a regret....

Now I am finally become a owner of this car, although it is 18 years later, wonderful to get the childhood memory again.

Also a story behind, just like another bro with his pajero "mountain Cat"..  also with a very touching story.  
Add oil!!  

I also owned a 959 with the technic gold motor.  broken long long time ago!!

seem that Avante and 959 are very hot items in Ebay.

Ha Ha. I still have the VZ motor (very famous at that time)  with me now.

This car is already bid from Ebay and all the parts are came with the car.  It is just a little bit dusty and need well polished.  I think I can complete it very soon.  Thanks for watching.

Brother explorer888, good luck with your project man.. there is always a story behind each of their "want to own" list for all the players here.. just like my "Mountain Cat" brother gibson mentioned.....  it's always a childhood dream and the feels are great and while you completed and play them....  
Show us when it's completed and come out and play some "vintages swim car fish" la!!!

果時舊版友BEN有架AVENTE,又有架AVENTE 2001.......攞過上手玩過睇過......滿足了!
可遇不可求呢~!呢O的車唔係我呢個身份可以買得起~

I really want to play the Avante in ground, let it run, run....but I think it is still better keep it on the shelf....I don't want it break, you know, this car is famous for its fragile struture.

I also have a Avante 2001.  I remembered I bought it in Wai Gx 5 years ago.  In that time, the kit is reduced price from $1600 to $1000.  Seem that no one want to buy it.  Of course, I bought it and recently I built it up.  

But compared to Avante, Avante 2001 is just a toy.

AVENTE 2001唔係好TOY呀?如果講結構嚟講.....好過AVENTE.

AVENTE當年嚟講係一個好前衛O既設計,但亦都係一個好失敗O既設計嚟.
但係結構真係好靚~!

Trust me brother explorer888, the place we go to isn't that terriable for vintages... besides using a little bit of tires and a little bit of dusting, it's a lot of fun...  
Put some cheapo 101 ESC and 3003 and off we go!  Get a set of spare tires if you can and putting it on the ground sometimes isn't a bad idea!!!  Afterall, RCs are built to play!!!
