Again, depends on price, I bought many Traxxas and HPI ~ 2 yr ago, as no choice here. (Canada)
Not mean they are bad, but 2/3 yr ago, you want a good 1/8 eTruggy need to buy a Losi nitro 8T 2.0 for $800 cad, then motor/esc for 400, then servo, remote, $150 convert kit.... We are talking $1,500 cad (plus remote etc..) ... And the HPI Trophy flux was just $500 RTR, so I jumped on it! I got Truggy, buggy was just 400)
It wasn't bad with stock motor, and ok for bashing, but once I upgraded to Tekin and run 5s/6s... Things started to break, and not good handling.... Even I switched to Losi 8T big shock... It still doesn't handle that nice, and many thing can break....
Now, RC8.2e RTR, Serpent 811 RTR, and Team C... Are all good RTR, much better then the HPI flux....
Unless the HPI is much cheaper!
