想問HPI Ken block 1/8 O唔OK ? 性能各方面 點??

因為本人唔熟RC CAR...煩請C 兄為我解答

I am in Canada, so pricing/parts support etc are diff then HK, however, I can share my opinion....
Hpi la... Better name, base on 1/8, more metal vs plastic, 4 pole motor, castle esc, much nicer looking body ....

But Traxxas is lots cheaper (2/3 price) and also much bigger ....  100 times easier to buy parts... (Here, not sure about HK)

How about Team C 1/8 GT ?  True 1/8, even cheaper then Traxxas .... But not quite Rally look, you can always buy another shell.

kyosho DBX is good choice too, with 3s, 'just right' speed box stock, can gear up for higher speed, also cheapest price with nice looking Rally body... (But expensive in Canada, also hard to get parts...)

(Depends on pricing too, Traxxas is the cheapest box stock in Canada here, and only brand with parts supply, thus they are popular here)

Nice report c-hing, I just order my parts from amainhobbies as well, so pricing shd be close
comparing hpi with traxxas, I will say hpi is better for Sure, but since both these 2 brands are hard to buy parts in hk,  so maybe can try to get the kyosho dbx instead

--- it is easy to drive and you will have fun with original setting. But, the rear a-arm of HPI is easy to be broken.

Compare the price and quality, Kyosho DRX is the best choice for the beginner. it has more room to upgrade. You can change it to 3S, 2 speed like mine later on. It is crazy fast with good handling if you spend time and money on it.

Here, so many stores sell Traxxas parts, (say 20plus store, within a small town) Kyosho? Forget it... May take 3/4 month, and 2 to 3 times more expensive then Traxxas..... DRX is also much more expensive then the Traxxas Rally ... So almost make no sense and dumb to buy Kyosho here... But since I am always Kyosho fan,.. (I just found my 2x yr old photo, A Optima Mid box on my desk!!) and everyone has Traxxas, so I got both Traxxas and Kyosho..

So I guess unless Traxxas Rally is Cheaper then Kyosho,otherwise, no point to go Traxxas, unless someone really like 美國 brand....

Hi Brother,

1. to buy the original 2 speed gear set for GP DRX
2. to buy an adaptor in the following wedsite
http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail.php?prod=2+Speed+pinion+adapter+5mm+bore
3. to buy the 1st gear and 2nd gear for 1/8 on road
4. you need an extra servo to stop the car
5. you need the break pad as the GP DRX
6. Since it run crazy fast, you need upgrade to 4 傘齒, optional 金屬大餅, optional CVD, etc.

A full option DRX is more expensive than a MP9

I had taken some pictures but it is over 256kb and I cannot upload here. if you want the pic, I can whatsapp it to you.
It is real fun to drive the 3S 2speed, and it is not a toy for kid anymore as the Traxxas.
