Restoration on XC Hardshell Pajero

I got this about 2 months ago and I finally started the project.  When I first got it, I notice the front bearings are missing. This was painted in red/silver but it's terriable paint job.  The body is a little cracked around the bumper area.  the chassis is completed along with some melted plastic by the "resistor" area  And of course it needs some major cleaning as well as it has been sitting for at least 2 years without playing!  The gears are no good as well.

So first step was took it apart and starting to gather new parts at the same time.  With the help of E-bay I was be able to locate a new bumper set which was pretty torn.  Then new sets of wheels from "Chong Sing" for $140 a pair, $280 for a set!  Brand new gears was found on US Ebay but as it turns out it was sold under "Hing Kee" In Chung Wan so being a HKI guy, I have to drive all the way to Chung Wan and pick them up.

After everything was clean and oil shocks has been changed, everything on the chassis is back in original.  And now, it's the cover.

So up until yesterday, the body has been stripped.  It must have at least 5 coats of paint...  It took at good week just to strip all the paint off.. (with the help of my excellent Philippino maid, I want to thank her for doing this for me!!!  ) and now waiting for some pudding and polishing and ready to prime and paint.  

Now any suggestion on the color?  I am thinking black with champang gold.........

Thanks "B Gor".....  how are you?  long time no see...  I am waiting on you selling the VW Bus cover for M class and have you pursue AMAT to sell me the Jeep cover!!!    I have a set of Jeep wheels that I am looking for a cover to put on!!!  
After this, I have another Soft shell Pajero, my 1984 Pajero and a brand new XB hard shell Pajero to build....  This one is for play....

Ok... update 16 March.....  Finally painted the gold part... that was quite a lot of masking tapes...  people told me I could have use newspaper but I guess the masking tape is easier to manage....
Also, I have asked someone to re-produce the original stickers for me and it should be done within the next few days.....  
Black color will be on tonight or tomorrow night....!

hi brother mike....

if u wanna paint it in twin color......maybe at the time u spray the first color (silver or gold).....u dun have to take time to make masking ma......
first of all...time consumming......then.... it should be take more attention on the 2nd mask.....because while not masking well.....the edge will be show the surfacer.....maybe not perfect at all......anyway......looking forward to see your great job!!!!!

Hmm... that's true.. Especially I am going to paint the body in black... the Black should cover the gold after all.....
