Novak 4.5R play 5 cells gear ratio help

Hi all brother,

Any suggestion for Novak GTB + 4.5R, 5 cells. What gear ratio should I start with ?
I'm likely playing at big track like PYC / YMC.

I run 5cell with GTB 4.5R but I am in Singapore (ie, hot / sunny weather), gear ratio ~1:9.1/9.2.

I am running in TRC and using 8.6. Still feel too slow. May be 8.4 is better!

Thanks for sharing, I will try a bigger pinion next time.
Altho I am running RC in hot/sunny weather, the GTB ESC and the 4.5R is only warm after run - but the batteries are HOT !!

I'll keep your data for reference. Will try the range 8.6-8.0. Will let you know the result.

By the way, is this combination a lot slower compare to 5 cells / 3.5r ? Hope it can competitive to those rocket or else, gotta spend $$$ again.......

Here is my pair of MSX - 1 with GTB 4.5R for 5cell, 1 with 12T motor for normal 6cell.
They are still working hard for me ;)
