servo failure

i have a 10 years old top model analog, metal gear servo from futaba
last day i was playing my 1/12 and had a small crush on it
nth broken but the servo seems cant work, i had installed servo safer
but dont know why....
some of my fd told me that an analog servo cant work with digital reciever, is this the case? or are there any other reasons?
