Here is why explosion happened :
1. Imax B6 overcharge the pack and the cells vented (a signal of overcharging). It caused very hot cells. At this moment, the cells are potentially unsafe.
2. After fully charged, user continue to put charge in ... Cells are totally overcharged and unsafe.
3. User use fan to cool the surface of the pack, it cause false idea to user, cells are not HOT. But other than the area with Fan cool, all other area of the cells are extremely hot. In this stage, shrink was starting to melt and open somewhere around the cells.
3. After seeing the shrink open, cells are shorting to each other already. Therefore, after few seconds, the pressure generated due to high discharge cause explosion.
