Regarding the charge and discharge method, may I suggest your guys making reference to international standard e.g. BS EN. I haven't checked the details but I know there should be an recongised discharging profile e.g. 0.2C for xx seconds, 5 C for xx seconds and the voltage should not drop xx% etc.
It seems that we need a Battery Professional here..... Who is ? pls feel free to provide any comment to the guys here.
Let's talk some F5 physics. Power = Voltage x Current = Force x Velocity. Simply, the higher the V and I the higher the power and hence the Velocity (~speed). So, if a Lipo can provide a high current output (high mah and high C) and can its voltage won't drop during max current discharging, this Lipo could provide more power to the car and the car could run faster.
Quote from http://rclovers.com/whatisCrate.htm
"C in "C rate" is Capacity. Charge/Discharge rate is measured by how many multiple of Capacity a battery can be charged/discharged.
At 2C, for example, the 1000mAh battery would deliver 2000mA for 30 minutes. 1C is often referred to as a one-hour discharge; a 0.5C would be a two-hour, and a 0.1C a 10-hour discharge."
一舊2C 5000mAh電, 半個鐘係可以放到10000mA, 另一方面呢舊電亦可以喺1個鐘都係放5000mA
兩個放電情況舊電都係只有5000mAh
