T2R vs TA05+TRF dampers

T2R US$220
TA05  US$159 + TRF dampers US$60

So, they are about the same price, but can anyone help me to confirm if the T2R dampers are metal or plastic?  Some said metal, and some said plastic?  

T2R better quality, better car
TA05 lot of parts, lots of hop-up (mean more $$ to spend?)

T2R uses plastic damper, but it's externally adjustable....  good enough to be used in Pro-level touring car.

I vote for T2R !!!

The shock body is plastic while the cap and adjusting collar are alu.

我睇好T2R，不过就算加埋TRF dampers　TA05都唔够T2R贵WO，仲有T2R好像系无外壳，加埋价钱都差唔少

You are right, TA05+TRF is about US$36 cheaper...., and no need to wait..

- haven't own a Tamiya car for a long time, but Tamiya... too much plastic
- run on the street maybe better
- more parts available
- since I am not upgrading my TX or ESC

T2R
- less and expensive parts
- but much nicer car
- so nice that I feel I need to upgrade everything else

Wahh, only now you said so?  What are you going to do with your 3 TA05?  Put them under the bed?  

Well, but T2R still in shortage.  

I think that TA05 with some upgrades can easy to get good lap seconds than T2R by same driver. Because TA05 has its good characteristic than T2R...this is only my experience!!!

Nice to hear that!!     What do you suggest to change?

For Drift ... I vote TA05

For Touring ... I vote T2R

TRF damper is the necessary.
Carbon mixed chassis, body set and Ti screw or Al screw are for lose weight. But new arm or the older one (414 used) is the option for different course or driving custom. And others like stabilizer and wheel axial are for improve corner speed.
I use BD for out door race and TA05 for in door carpet course.
After all, I think TA05 is fun for race!!!

Interesting... indoor carpet race?  Where?  Which state?  Can you post your TA05 here?
