I read a test report from magazine for 1st RC10 Vs RC10B4FT, Final result B4 just a bit fast then 1st gen. RC10.
I think the concept of both cars are almost the same, motor at the back plus longitudinal battery, spur gear slipper, double-wishbone suspension, main difference is the material of the chassis (plastic vs aluminium)
so, no wonder both cars got almost the same speed( provided that the drive-train in both cars are smooth)
I hate limited edition. It is because they just for collecton, not to play. So disapppointed. You should enjoy the control of the RC models. This means you should play, not for worship
